Was a very lovely group and location was lovely. Learnt new skills using grey lead pencils. I now know the difference in the B pencils and the H pencils and when to use them. I have a better understanding of using shading to form shape without using a line to build the shape. Sat next to her as she drew this object. Tried to see the light in the object. Nice seeing the interpretation of the other students work.

This was drawn from an out of focus photo I took whilst wondering through part of the Tarkine forest some years ago. I have been fascinated by the world of fungi for years and have a large collection of photos that I am slowly collecting into one folder. I have always drawn and fell in love the ink as at teenager when I saw some etching in an exhibition. I had wanted to try push my drawing to another level just for myself and began with looking at my collection of photos. So why use an out of f

Upon my recent return to Hobart, I was taken by the impact small elements have on a larger outcome. My work is not a conscious representation of this, but an exercise in subconscious expression channeling something unknown into realisation.

Original unframed 65 x 91 cm Alcohol ink on yupo paper sealed with high grade varnish and UV spray. My artwork is heavily inspired by both nature and the mindgarden. Planting the seeds of joy and happiness today for our tomorrows.?Just like the lifespan of cherry blossoms, our days pass in a blink of an eye. According to Japanese folklore, cherry blossoms should remind us to cherish the best parts of our lives and not forget to appreciate the beauty in everything.?- Flower Glossary

Kunyanyi and the Derwent bridge are two landmarks of Hobart, both inspirational. I started it painting in a Van Gogh style but it sort of evolved. It is quite a large painting and was fun to do.

Good morning, thankyou, what an honour to even be considered. This is an acrylic on canvas which I painted specifically as a donation to the Paynter family of Hobart. Hamish, then 15, when the accident happened last year, was left a paraplegic, with minimal hand movements after an outing to the beach with his school went horribly wrong. His father's workplace, Calvary Hospital went straight into help mode to aid this family with the enormous medical and building costs to alter the family home

I visited the North Devon Coast a couple of years ago and was mesmerized by the turquoise colour of the sea. Clovelly in particular seemed to capture the essence of this coastline. I walked out onto the harbour wall and took several photos. From these I chose one as my subject to paint

Last month I painted my first 16 x 20 inches watercolor abstract. Now I have painted what I hope is a complimentary artwork. Same size and same theme.I generated a ?reference? image, transferred it to watercolor paper using graphite pencil, and then painted it. Both were prepared on cold pressed Arches paper using Grumbacher Academy paints. They are now displayed in my art room above my computer.I hope you like it!
